Counting Crows & Hollis Brown were awesome!
We were surprised to see Pete Yorn there opening for Citizen Cope and Hollis Brown. They are an up and coming band with huge talent! Next up was Pete Yorn. Used to be a fan, but during this concert he was obviously on heroin. He could barely keep a beat, was almost tipping over, wearing somebody else's shirt that was way too small and tight for him. Now, Hollis Brown on the other hand was freakin' amazing! It was well worth dealing with Mr. Yorn to see them. Loved every second of it. I was disappointed though that they were not mentioned in the advertising or purchasing of the tickets anywhere. We bought their CD and got a couple of the band members to sign it. As for management of the event, they were supposed to perform in Santa Fe in front of 1500 people and changed it 3 weeks prior to a much smaller space. The lighting was obviously on auto for the first two acts, because it didn't make any sense. Nobody was manning the spotlight, so the soloists were completely in the dark. He needs to be kicked out of the tour in my opinion. Sound was really good though.
